Haris Medunjanin is a soccer player who plays for PEC Zwolle in the Netherlands. He is from Bosnia and he also plays for the Bosnia national team. He is a midfielder, which means he plays in the middle of the field and helps his team attack and defend.

 

Haris Medunjanin started playing soccer when he was a kid in his hometown of Sarajevo. He loved soccer and wanted to be a professional player. But when he was seven years old, a war started in Bosnia and he had to leave his country with his mother and sister. His father stayed in Sarajevo, but he died of a heart disease in 1999.

 

Haris Medunjanin moved to the Netherlands, where he joined a soccer club called AZ Alkmaar. He played for their youth teams and then for their first team. He also played for the Netherlands youth teams, because he had a Dutch passport. He was very good and scored some goals.

 

Haris Medunjanin played for many clubs in different countries, such as Sparta Rotterdam, Valladolid, Maccabi Tel Aviv, Gaziantepspor, Deportivo La Coruña, Philadelphia Union, and FC Cincinnati. He won many trophies with his clubs, such as the Israeli league title with Maccabi Tel Aviv, the UEFA Cup with Gaziantepspor, and the US Open Cup with Philadelphia Union. He was known for his passing, his vision, and his free kicks.

 

Haris Medunjanin also plays for the Bosnia national team, which represents his country. He made his debut in 2009 and scored nine goals in 60 games. He played in the World Cup in 2014, which was the first time that Bosnia qualified for the tournament. He also played in the European Championship qualifiers in 2016 and 2020.
